Call for Papers – Mittelalterliche Handschriften der Kölner Dombibliothek

Am 27. und 28. November 2026 wird das 11. Symposion zu den mittelalterlichen Handschriften der Kölner Dombibliothek in hybrider Form stattfinden. Arbeiten aus den Bereichen Kodikologie, Kirchengeschichte, Kanonistik, Komputistik, Liturgie, Kunstgeschichte und Textedition u.ä. können dort vorgestellt werden. Wer in diesen oder ähnlichen Bereichen an einem Thema arbeitet, das sich wesentlich mit Handschriften aus der Kölner Dom- oder der Diözesanbibliothek befasst, ist eingeladen, auf dem Symposion darüber zu referieren. Die Vorträge sollten jeweils etwa 30 Minuten umfassen, damit anschließend noch Zeit bleibt für eine Diskussion. Eine Publikation der Beiträge ist in der hauseigenen Buchreihe „Libelli Rhenani“ vorgesehen.
Themenvorschläge mit einigen Zeilen zum Inhalt sind bis spätestens 1. September 2026 einzureichen bei Dr. Harald Horst. Herr Dr. Horst beantwortet gerne auch weitere Fragen zum nächsten Symposion.

On November 27 and 28, 2026, the 11th Symposium on Medieval Manuscripts of the Cologne Cathedral Library will take place. The event will feature presentations of new research findings in the fields of codicology, church history, canon law, computus, liturgy, art history, text editions, etc. Anyone working in these or related fields on a topic that deals primarily with manuscripts from the Cologne Cathedral Library or the Diocesan Library is invited to give a presentation at the symposium. Each presentation should last about 30 minutes, with a further 15 minutes for the discussions. A publication of the contributions is planned in the book series "Libelli Rhenani".
Proposals for a presentation with a few lines on the content should be submitted by 1 September 2026 at the latest to the manuscript librarian Dr Harald Horst. Dr Horst will also be happy to answer any further questions about the upcoming symposium.
